The regeneration plan for the historic Crystal Palace Park gains further momentum following the confirmation of a £5 million grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We wanted to update you on the ongoing efforts to recover the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Memorial Trophy.

The historic Grade II* listed Crystal Palace Subway is set to reopen following major restoration work, in time for its 160th anniversary in 2025.

The Head of Finance & Corporate Services role offers the opportunity to join a young and growing registered charity at an exciting point in its evolution, and to help lead on establishing Crystal Palace Park as an exemplar in urban park management, community-led regeneration and cultural and heritage programming.

We can’t quite believe it but it’s been twelve months since Crystal Palace Park Trust became the new custodian of this incredible park, on 15 September 2023, via a 125-year head-lease from the London Borough of Bromley.

Last week, BBC London News visited Crystal Palace Park to spotlight its £17.5m regeneration project. Crystal Palace Park Trust’s CEO, Victoria Pinnington, was interviewed about the plans to enhance our iconic 170-year-old park.

Plans for the next major phase of the Crystal Palace Park regeneration programme have been unanimously approved by the London Borough of Bromley’s Development Control Committee. Listed building consent has also been granted for the Tidal Lakes & Dinosaurs, Paxton Bust and Italian Terraces, which will enable these works to commence on site in 2025.

Victoria Pinnington has been appointed as Chief Executive of Crystal Palace Park Trust. Currently Interim Chief Executive of the Horniman Museum and Gardens, she will take up the new post in June.

Parking charges are now live in all of Crystal Palace Park’s public car parks.

Plans for restoring many of Crystal Palace Park’s historic features, including the Grade-I listed dinosaurs and the Italian Terraces, have been submitted and are currently being considered.

Our first two months of managing the park have been busy, and we’ve made some great starts in addressing many of the issues we know matter most to our park users. Read on to find out more about what we've been doing.

The Trust is governed by a volunteer board of 10 trustees and managed by a small team of staff. The Trustees are drawn from the local area and selected for their professional skills via an open recruitment process. They provide their time and expertise without remuneration.

Crystal Palace Park set to thrive following historic handover

As part of our mission to ensure that the park has something for everyone in the community, all activities will be free of charge and lots of fun.

The Trust has created a new café concession at the Concert Platform, which will be open on weekends, bank holidays and during special events. The café sits alongside the Platform by the pond, with seating on the new decking and toilets within the back-of-house area.

Our newsletter is published regularly and is a great way of keeping up to date about our work in the park.
