The theft has been logged on both national and international police databases, and the police are continuing their investigation. The Trust has also been in touch with the War Memorial Trust and Historic England who have provided expert advice.

All parties are working closely together and sharing information as needed. We've also widely shared an appeal for information to help raise awareness.

Several potential scenarios regarding the Trophy’s whereabouts are under consideration, with the hope that it remains intact and can be recovered. If there is more information that we can share publicly, we will do so.

We understand there are questions about the future of the memorial site, but it is premature to make any decisions while the investigation remains ongoing. Should the situation evolve and further steps become necessary, the Trust will carefully consider all options once the investigation has concluded.
