The National Sports Centre lies at the centre of Crystal Palace Park.

The leisure centre was opened in 1964 and is a Grade II* listed building. A surprisingly elegant concrete frame supports the roof, which has a folded teak lining. There are four swimming pools, including a 50m competition pool and a diving pool with a dramatic diving platform. The internal sports arena used for basketball, gymnastics and other sports.
